How to Set up a Squarespace Blog
In this blog post, I will show you step-by-step instructions on how to set up a Squarespace blog.
How to start a blog on Squarespace?
First, go to your main navigation and add a new page. Then, under the collection, choose BLOG.
Next you want to choose the layout of your blog.
Then you will have the option to add a name for the blog page. For simplicity sake name your blog just blog.
Once you save the name, you will be directed to a page that will have the following options:
Pricing plans
Blog overview
Blog content
Squarespace blog pricing plans are self-explanatory; you can start charging for your blog if you want. Blog overview shows the overview of your Squarespace blog content. Then, let’s move into Blog content.

When you click the blog content you will be directed to a page that will have all your blog posts.
Then you can filter Squarespace blog posts by all, draft, scheduled, and published.

Now, let’s take a look at some of the settings. Click the three dots for a tiny pop-up window with the following options.

In teh Squarespace blog post settings, you have the following options.

Location
You want to review each setting and fill them out as much as possible.
Make sure to add your featured image and excerpt if you want to use one. Then, you should move on to options settings. Here, you can add tags, set up your Squarespace blog post categories, and toggle on comments.
Then, you want to move onto SEO blog post settings. Add your SEO title and description. The description will show in Google results and as the meta description for the individual blog post. Use keywords and make sure it is descriptive enough of what people can expect in the post itself.
Then you can move into Social Image settings. Ad an image here for your blog post you want to share on social.
Next, you can move on to share settings. This section can add your blog posts to an email campaign.
Then last but not least you can add location settings. Your business name, address, city, state, zip, and country.

Now that you know how to set up your blog posts, it’s time to start blogging! You can easily add headings, images and all the custom blocks Squarespace give you. All you have to do is click the blue plus sign and you get the Squarespace pop up for blocks.
